Windsor Castle No 252 - Report : 07th November 2019
On Thursday 7th Movemeber, the Inspector General, V\Ill\Bro. Roy Stone 33° and Ill\Bro. Tony Rees 32°, the District Recorder, attended the meeting held at the Masonic Centre, Church Lane, Windsor. There were some 31 in attendance, including six guests, namely Ill\Bros. Anthony Leaver 31° (1060), Nick Holden 30° (1171) and E & P Bros.Malcolm Stockley 18° (1171), Alan Bland 18° (1060), Alan Skudder 18° (1145) and Russell Janes 18° (753).
Ill\Bros Robin Trevett 31° and Bob Peel 30°, acted as First General and Outer Guard respectively.
Following the opening, the MWS E & P Bro. Neil Coleman 18°, warmly welcomed the Inspector General, District Recorder and visiting Brethren. He offered the Baton to the IG which was graciously declined.
The MWS invited Ill\Bro.Robert Peel 30° to deliver a Eulogy in respect of our dear departed Brother, Ill\Bro. Dr. Michael Brenton 30°, following which the Princes stood in silent tribute to departed merit.
Ill\Bro. Robin Trevett 31° proposed the minutes of the meeting held on 2nd May 2019, be confirmed as a true record. This was seconded by E & P Bro. Gordon Robertson 18° and carried by the members.
The Treasurer, Ill\Bro. Steve Talbot 30°, submitted the examined Accounts for 2018-2019. Ill\Bro. Robin Trevett 31°, proposed the adoption of the accounts, together with a vote of thanks to the Treasurer and Examiners. This was seconded by E & P Bro. Gordon Robertson 18° and carried by the members.
Due to health problems, Ill\Bro. Derek Stratford MBE 32° was sadly unable to be Enthroned as MWS.
The current MWS, E & P Bro. Neil Coleman 18°, having agreed to serve a second term of office, the DC, Ill\Bro. Graham Hutton 30°, proclaimed him as MWS for the ensuing year.

The IG, delivered the Address to the Chapter.
The Recorder, Ill\Bro. Roger Chandler 30°, proposed Ill\Bros. Doug Jamieson 31° and Richard Orton 31°, as the Accounts Examiners for the ensuing year. This was seconded by E & P Bro. Gordon Robertson 18° and carried by the members.
The Recorder proposed the newly appointed Marshall & Raphael as members of the Standing Committee. This was seconded by E & P Bro. Gordon Robertson 18° and carried by the members.
The District Recorder, Ill\Bro. Tony Rees 32°, presented E & P Bro. Svetoslav Zakhariev 18° with his Supreme Council certificate, in his usual informative and excellent manner.
The Almoner, Ill\Bro. Robin Trevett 31°, submitted his report, which included updates on Ill\Bros. Derek Stratford MBE 32°, Richard Routledge RVM 31°, Paul Davey 30° and E & P Bros. Gerald Price 18°, Colin Woodley 18° and Austin Burn RVM 18°, which was followed by the collection of Alms.
On the Risings, the Recorder delivered an appraisal of all correspondence received since the last meeting, from both Supreme Council and the District.
The Third Point was conducted by the MWS, following which the Chapter was closed.
The evening was concluded with yet another excellent meal at the Castle Hotel, enjoyed in the most convivial atmosphere, where the usual Toasts were honoured.
